Team access is not the same as shared project context

Modern coding agents are not all single-player or local. Claude Code and Codex offer cloud execution and organization controls, Superconductor shares cloud agent sessions, and Conductor has a multiplayer Cloud alpha. Even so, most sessions and histories remain scoped to an owner unless that person explicitly shares them.

The coordination cost often lands on the artifacts around the run. Specs, tickets, diagrams, mockups, and code may live in separate systems. Connectors and MCP can make those systems reachable, but reachability is not the same as one editable workspace with a common history and links between the artifacts.

Nimbalyst puts that work into one shared visual workspace. Documents, mockups, diagrams, and trackers are multiplayer, and each teammate's local agent reads and writes the same shared files. Teammates can run different agents while their Nimbalyst session boards remain private.

Which coding agents does Nimbalyst support?
Claude Code and OpenAI Codex run side by side as first-class agents, with OpenCode and Copilot available as alpha providers. Teammates can run different agents and still share the same workspace.
Why do coding agents need a team layer at all?
Agents are only as good as the context they get, and on a team that context is spread across documents, tickets, mockups, and diagrams that live in separate tools. A shared workspace makes those artifacts multiplayer and reachable by every teammate's agent, so nobody re-explains the same thing to their own agent.
Does Nimbalyst require cloud agent sandboxes?
No. Agent sessions launched through Nimbalyst run on each teammate's machine against that person's checkout, with no Nimbalyst sandbox-compute meter. The configured coding agent still sends prompts and code context needed for inference to its model provider.
Can teammates see each other's agent sessions?
No. Nimbalyst session management is private to the person running the sessions. Teammates share documents, mockups, diagrams, and trackers in real time, while each person's agent runs privately on their own machine.
What exactly is shared with the team?
Only what you promote. Documents, mockups, and diagrams you choose to share become multiplayer, and shared trackers hold your bugs, tasks, plans, and decisions. Agent sessions and other local files remain private. Synced content is end-to-end encrypted, and Nimbalyst is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
Can we keep using Linear, Jira, or Confluence?
Yes. Your agents can reach those systems through their available integrations or MCP servers, so adopting Nimbalyst does not require a day-one migration.
What platforms does it run on?
macOS, Windows, and Linux on the desktop, with a native iOS companion app for reviewing sessions and diffs away from your machine.
Is Nimbalyst open source?
The desktop and iOS apps are MIT licensed, and the collaboration server is licensed separately.
